While the headphones are for g-daughter's birthday in September, I was pleased with the service and product. She'll be thrilled to get them.
These headphones definitely keep the sound from getting too loud. My kids didn't complain about the sound but I found them too soft. When I put the DVD player without headphones at a comfortable volume and then plugged in the headphones the volume definitely decreased. I suppose this is good for protecting a child's sensitive ears but if an adult plans to use them as well they will probably be disappointed.
I bought these at the time I bought myself some ear buds. My 2 year old saw my packaged and asked "Where are my ears.", so I'm glad I purchased these. They stay on her little head and keeps the sound down. So they do their job.
My daughter is 6 and she loves this headphones. All adult ones had been too big and uncomfortable. These have room to grow for her and she has no problem with the volume level in our truck. She mainly uses them for audio stories and cds.
Bought for my 4 year old granddaughter and they were great. Perfect for a child's head and she loves them.
